1) OK, I know last week I announced that our Annual Parish Meeting would be at 11:30 a.m. as in years past, but then I was reminded that at last year's Annual Meeting, we voted to try something different this year. That's where the eggs come in. We voted last year to hold a single worship service at 9:00 a.m. on January 27th, followed by a potluck brunch. So grab your casserole dish, your crockpot, your bread maker, and/or your fruit slicer and bring something to share with what will be a big and raucous crowd on Jan 27th. We estimate there is oven space to cook or warm 5-6 dishes while the service is happening, so please plan accordingly. REMEMBER -- ONE SERVICE AT 9:00 FOLLOWED BY A BRUNCH POTLUCK SUNDAY, JAN 27TH!! The whole format is changing for the better, and I promise you it will be both different and fun. Don't miss it!
2) Volunteer Training Scheduled -- on Saturday, Jan 26th at 9 a.m. we will hold a short training for our worship volunteers -- Ushers, Lectors, Intercessors, and LEM's (Eucharistic Ministers). Everyone currently serving in any of these ministries, or anyone interested in serving, should plan to be present. Coffee provided. One hour tops.
3) BIG CHANGES to our north entrance this week! Rick and Steve and their crew have started the construction of our Narthex Expansion, and estimate this phase of the project will take 2-3 weeks to complete. During that time, we hope to keep the front doors open and usable on Sundays, but if that changes I will send everyone a heads-up. You may need to walk through some framing but the path will be clear and safe. If you typically park and enter from the south, you won't be affected.
