  • Saint Francis will host our next Deanery meeting on Saturday, October 18. We'll gather at 9a for coffee, conversation and an opportunity to connect with Episcopalians from around the Panhandle, followed by a program featuring cowboy poet and minister Curt Cooper. All are warmly welcomed to join us! Lunch will be provided. An RSVP is helpful but not required. Please contact the front office to let us know your plans to attend.

  • Deanery meetings are an excellent opportunity to connect with and learn from other Episcopalians from across the Panhandle. On Saturday, the Western Deanery will gather at Saint Francis at 9 a.m. Our speaker will be minister and cowboy poet Curt Cooper. Lunch will be provided. Even if you didn't have a chance to RSVP, we hope you'll attend.

  • A Message from Brother James Dowd: The Benedictine Way's All Souls Service     Saturday, Nov. 1 at 8am CT / 7am MT
All are invited to attend The Benedictine Way’s annual All Souls Service on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 8am CT / 7am MT, in-person at Incarnation Monastery (3020 Belvedere Blvd., Omaha) or live streamed online on our YouTube Channel. Together we will pray in remembrance of loved ones who have gone before us. If you would like to submit names to be read aloud during the service, please email them to Abby Z. Ybay at [email protected] no later than Monday, Oct. 20.

  • This past Sunday, Youth Fellowship participated in the CROP Walk. CROP's motto is "Ending hunger one step at a time." The program began when US-based farmers were asked to provide food and seed to Asian and European neighbors in desperate need in the aftermath of World War II. A portion of funds raised are returned to our community and will support a local food pantry. The rest are utilized by the program's host, Church World Service, to fight hunger around the globe. Those who wish to help the youth in this important ministry are invited to direct their donations to the rector's discretionary fund.

  • We had consistent attendance at our midweek evening Eucharist during Lent when we offered it in conjunction with Soup, Stations and Eucharist. Only three midweek evening Eucharists in the six months since have seen anyone (besides me) attend. If you're interested in regularly participating in an in-person, midweek evening service offering and there's a different day or time that's more amenable to your schedule, please let me know. I remember what it was like to be a busy layperson who was working full-time but still wanted to be involved in church. I therefore want to do what I can to accommodate working-age folks who work standard business hours. ~Rev. Erin+

  • Given the unpredictable season of winter storms is just around the corner, this seems like as good a time as any to remind folks of how closure decisions are communicated, be it on Sunday or during the week. The information will be communicated in the following ways:
Emailed to those on the list to receive the weekly enews.
Texted to those who have a current cell number on file. As messages are sent through the system we use to schedule worship volunteers, it will not come from a number with a 308-area code. So you know it's legitimate, we'll sign off with a notation that the message was "sent via MSP."  For those with access to MSP, you'll see you're a part of the Weather Cancellation Notice group.

  • While I was happy with the turnout at our eccumenical pet blessing held October 12, I expect that afternoon's high winds kept some folks home. If, for whatever reason, you weren't able to attend, I'm happy to do a curbside, backyard or in-home blessing of your beloved pet. Let me know if you're interested. ~Rev. Erin

  • We've been having regular issues with the audio and video cutting out on our Sunday morning livestream. Our A/V team has been diligently troubleshooting and recently discovered that, at five-and-a-half years old, the processing power of our laptop is no longer adequate to run our livestream. We're in the process of carefully shopping for a laptop that will not only meet but exceed the requirements needed for a quality and consistent livestream. We hope to have this resolved within the next few weeks, and apologize for any inconvenience or frustration in the interim.
