Sundays
On this page, we've tried to provide all the information you'll need to know if you visit us on a Sunday morning. If you still have questions, you can contact us, or don't hesitate to ask someone when you're here. Whoever you are, wherever you find yourself in life and faith, please know you are welcome to worship and share fellowship with us.
Worship
Our service times are 8 a.m. and 10 am. Both services follow the order for Holy Eucharist as set out in the Book of Common Prayer. At both services, we read from the Bible, hear a sermon, celebrate the Eucharist, and share consecrated bread and wine. At the 10 a.m. service, we are joined by the choir, and we sing hymns from a variety of sources. The words of our prayers and the music we sing are drawn from our rich Anglican tradition.
Our bulletins have the complete service printed in them, so you can follow along and participate. If you get lost don’t worry. There is no "wrong" way to worship and one of your neighbors will be happy to help you out. You can also just sit back and let the liturgy unfold around you. Being present is much more important than being perfect.

Children
All children are welcome in worship. Additionally, our Nursery and Sunday School programming for pre-K through Grade 4 typically begins just before 10 a.m. in the rooms upstairs above the parish hall. Children return to the church for communion with their parents.
If your children are noisy, that's okay! God put the wiggle in children; don't feel you must suppress it here. Some tips from fellow parents: sit toward the front; children will be more attentive when they can see what's going on. Explain the service. Help your child find the printed parts of the service and the hymns. Sing, pray, and respond; your child will learn by copying you. If your child needs to leave, feel free to step out or to use our nursery.

Before and After
From 9-9:45 a.m., our adult forum meets in the Rae E. Whitney Library for coffee, conversation, and discussion about the morning's readings. And after both 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. services, we have an open coffee hour in the parish hall where we socialize, enjoy delicious desserts, and have—you guessed it—more coffee. First time guests are always encouraged and welcome to join us!
Parking and Entering
There are several options for parking at St. Francis. There are a limited number of Handicapped Accessible spaces in the rear of the church, along with a dozen or so other spaces, which we try to reserve for our less mobile members and visitors. In addition there is some street parking, plus two large business lots which we have permission to use -- one to the west, the Rosi's Restaurant lot, and one to the north, shared by several businesses.
To attend worship, you can enter through the any of the doors on the north or south side of the church. To get to the sanctuary, just follow the hallway and find the ushers who will direct you to the sanctuary. To find the Sunday School or Nursery, head the opposite way and up the stairs. The Library and Parish Hall are located nearby.
