FATHER MARK’S ANNOUNCEMENTS
LENT IS HERE! 1) First, thanks to everyone who shopped, cooked, served, cleaned, or ate at our Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Feed! It was a super fun and super delicious meal! 2) Second, thanks to everyone who served or attended one or both of our Ash Wednesday services yesterday. I was humbled and moved to be present with such a committed and faithful group of Christians as we remembered our failings and accepted God's forgiveness. Truly the beginning of a Holy Lent. 3) We will have two Lenten Programs this year, as follows:

1) Now, DON’T freak out! But we are trying something new with the bulletins for a while 🤣— we are using printed inserts with the day’s readings rather than printing them within the bulletin itself. This is a widely used practice in the church, and we are trying it to see if it can improve our process of creating and using Sunday worship bulletins. Take a few weeks and see what you think. We will be using this method at least through Lent. 2) So many people to thank around last week’s service for my sister, Susan. Thanks to Mo. Karen and Fr. Bob for their faithful service and friendship. Thanks to the acolytes, lectors, ushers, and all the volunteers to assisted with the service. Thanks to our musicians Barb, Alyssa, and Scott, who provided such moving music. Thanks to our Altar Guild for all their work to make things beautiful, and to our ECW teams who provided such a terrific reception. And our entire family sends our deepest thanks to everyone in this congregation who has given us such loving support during this difficult time. I am often on the other side of this kind of event, but as the one grieving, I cannot tell you how much it meant to have you walking alongside us holding us up. It meant so much to me and to all of us. Thank you. 3) This Saturday the Deanery meets at Holy Apostles in Mitchell, NE from 10am to 1pm. The guest presenter will be Ms. Faith Mills, Executive Director for the Panhandle Partnership--which helps distribute vital information throughout Western Nebraska that aims to help vulnerable adults and children who are at risk. Lunch will be served and a goodwill donation of $5 is suggested. GINA’S ANNOUNCEMENTS Happy Birthday!
