FATHER MARK’S ANNOUNCEMENTS
1) Last night the vestry and I agreed that given the recent decline in COVID cases and hospitalizations, we will begin this Sunday to make masks optional in the church at all events including worship. I do believe this is a safe and prudent decision to make at this time. As always, be your own health advocate and do what is best for you, and please be kind to others as they make their choices. We’re all in this together as beloved children of God.

2) Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday when we will celebrate Holy Eucharist with the Imposition of Ashes. We will have two services at Noon and 6:00 P.M. This is one of the most meaningful services of the year for me and I highly recommend that all of our members attend. If you have last year’s palms you can bring them in this Sunday and we will burn them for ashes.

3) Is someone in your family graduating from High School or College this spring? We like to recognize our graduates and every year we worry that we aren’t capturing all the names and will leave someone out. So far we know about Melissa Moreno, Noah Moreno, and Julie Anderson-Saenz. Please email or call the office if you or someone in your family should also be included on our list.

4) Photo Directory Update Project — This Sunday look for an envelope containing data sheets for individuals and family members. Please pick up your envelope and review the information we have on file for you and if there are errors or omissions, make corrections and return the sheet(s) to Ann in the office by March 15th so that we can update our records and publish an accurate directory. Also, if you would like to submit a more current photo you can email it to the office, or you can have a new photo taken in the parish hall following both services on two Sundays — March 6th and April 3rd. Thanks for your help on this important project which will be a gift to your next rector as she/he arrives and begins connecting name with faces.

The United Thank Offering is a ministry of all the people to celebrate the blessings in our lives.  NOTICE the good things that happen each day.  GIVE THANKS for your blessings.  MAKE an offering for each blessing.  Blue boxes will be provided for you to place your bills and coins in during Lent.  Each coin and bill transforms lives in the United States and around the world, and your blessings become blessings for others.  On Easter Sunday the combined ingathering of donations will be blessed, and the money will be sent to The United Thank Offering.

Mission Statement: United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of the Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church.  Through UTO, men, women, and children nurture the habit of giving daily thanks to God.  These prayers of thanksgiving start when we recognize and name our many daily blessings.  Those who participate in UTO discover that thankfulness leads to generosity.  UTO is entrusted to promote thank offerings, to receive the offerings, and to distribute the UTO monies to support mission and ministry throughout the Episcopal Church and Provinces in the developing world.
